NISER Summer Internship Programme (NSIP) 2026

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar has officially opened the registration window for the NISER Summer Internship Programme (NSIP) 2026. The application link went live on 25 February 2026 giving undergraduate and postgraduate students from across India the opportunity to participate in a two-month research internship under expert faculty members. The internship will take place from 16 May to 15 July 2026 and applicant must secure a faculty mentor’s consent before applying.

How to Apply Online for NSIP 2026

The online application process is completely digital and requires students to upload documents and reference letters. The steps to apply are given below.

Step 1: Visit the official NISER website (www.niser.ac.in) and open the NSIP 2026 notification or directly access the Google Form link provided for registration.
Step 2: Explore the research fields of various Schools and shortlist the faculty members whose work matches your academic interests.
Step 3: Email the selected faculty (PI) and obtain their consent or approval letter before applying.
Step 4: Download the prescribed Bonafide-Cum-No Objection Certificate available in the notification and get it issued by your institution’s competent authority.
Step 5: Fill the online Google Form carefully, enter all academic details and upload the scanned NOC document.
Step 6: Arrange two reference letters from referees. These must be emailed directly by the referees to the respective School’s programme coordinator before 10 April 2026.
